1.) Panama hats

This is an edit from a story I spent a week on in and around Cuenca, Ecuador. The story is about the industry and people involved with the production of “Panama” hats–which originally come from Ecuador. I spent time photographing at the factories that finish and hats, weavers, markets where they sell the straw, small shops where they still form hats by hand, tourist shops for hat and out in the countryside where families prepare the straw.
