First Holga Roll

So I got a Holga for my birthday last year and recently developed my first roll. Here are a few. Not sure what I did to mess the first one up, but the second was my favorite from the roll. These are from the Chan Chan ruins in Peru. Can’t wait to shoot more and make my digital Holga lens. They are toned a little in PS from the original prints. Thanks for taking a look.

i really like the first as well- with the lines and all!! and excuse my photographic ignorance, but what is a Holga? Glad to see you are back on the blog. The other pictures from the jungle looked good as well!

    Stacey,
Thanks for your comment and thanks for looking. A Holga is a brand of plastic toy cameras that I shot these pictures on. They’re cheap, simple and unpredictable and produce some really cool pictures. Part of a whole following of “toy” film cameras that have a distinctive look. You can check them out here: Holga. You should get one.

What do you mean “digital Holga lens”? Are you going to mount the lens on your 5d?

    Ryan,
You got it. I am going to tear up another holga to mount it on my digital camera. Just haven’t been feeling crafty yet.
